Notes
In
1991, for the third time (after 1982 and 1983) TD supplied
especially composed music for an episode of the German TV
series 'Tatort' starring Götz
George as police officer Schimanski. The title song I Just Want To Rule
My Own Life Without You was played by TD, but the lyrics
were written and sung by vocalist Chi Coltrane, so she
and not TD gave her name to the single release that was issued
in Germany only. Besides the names of Edgar Froese and
Jerome Froese only a small text line on the inner side of
the sleeve refers to TD, stating 'Licensed by Tangerine Dream'.

Review:
German television once again asked Tangerine Dream to write
some film music to the Schimanski-Tatort crime series. The episode
was called 'Bis zum Hals im Dreck' ('Up to your neck in dirt').
The result, which Edgar and Jerome composed, is the Chi Coltrane
single 'I Just Want to Rule My Own Life Without You'. The single,
on which Tangerine Dream are are only mentioned as composers
on the inner sleeve, contains three tracks. The title track is
sung by Chi Coltrane and there is also an instrumental version
of the track. With the instrumental version the Saxophonist Linda
Spa appears on CD for the first time. The third title on the
single is called 'One Night in Medina'.
